    Software problems

I am trying to load the lego software onto another laptop but I can't get the software to work. We are using an RCX and the laptop is a year old Lenovo running XP and Office 2007.  I can't get the USB tower to work on it. The program wants the device drivers for the tower to be loaded which are on the disk but, the computer crashes every time before the drivers have been loaded. Do you know of anyone else with
this problem? I have tried this disk on several different machines with
    the same outcome.

Are you trying to load RoboLab? Can you get hold of another disk? It sounds as if that one may be dodgy - we have loaded on several machines, several times (after rebuilding the PC, for example) and had no probems.

Yes, we are trying to load Robolab. I have tried two disks now with the same result. I have tried all sorts of pcs at school and have only found one really old one that will run it. I have checked and it is the right software too for the RCX not the other grey block. Have you tried loading it onto any newer machines as opposed to your rebuilt ones?

    Re: Software problems

I am running RoboLab 2.9 on an XP laptop bought last December. I have sent you both an email and a PM with my phone number, in case you think that will help.

(Not relevant to your problem, but we are using it with the NXT, but it can be used with both RCX and NXT.)
