The FIRST ® LEGO® League annual Challenge would not be possible without the financial and technical support of our Sponsors. In UK, we are delighted to have these very prestigious companies as our corporate partners and we thank them for their assitance. Their contributions help make the UK FLL an exciting and stimulating opportunity for young people to explore the world of technology and engineering.

If you would like to learn more about the opportunities for your organisation to become involved with FLL, please contact Chris Proctor

BP believes that education is a natural priority for a community investment programme based on sustainability. Education contributes to sustainable societies by providing people with skills and knowledge.

Our focus is on areas key to our business - energy and environment, leadership and business skills. We have three main strands to our education support: strategic partnerships, particularly with the Science Museum; the BP Educational Service; and our Schools Link programme.

BP actively encourages young people to get involved in technology through its work with local communities and schools to help young people develop an understanding of what modern engineering is all about. Together with their co-sponsor, Ford, BP supports the FIRST LEGO League and Challenge, which is organised by First Hand Technology and is now in its 10th year.

Everything we each operate, use, or purchase as goods in our everyday lives has been the subject of engineering throughout the design, development and manufacturing stage. Ford Motor Company has a long and proud tradition of encouraging youngsters to consider science, engineering and technology as their future career. The Education Outreach & Community Dept based at Dunton in Essex, supports, sponsors, and organises a wide range of educational activities in support of schools, colleges and universities within a continuum strategy designed to provide value, quality and consistency over time.

We have been pleased to support the FLL in recent years because it encourages certain key attributes essential for youngsters as they look towards their future careers: the overcoming of challenges; commitment to succeed; competitive spirit and ability to work within a team to achieve shared goals. It is only necessary to participate in one of these events to see how FLL satisfies these essentials. We wish FLL every success and continued growth.

Microsoft sees the world as an enriched learning environment in which pupils, teachers and education institutions can fully realise their potential. We support education in a variety of ways from our dedicated worldwide education teams and through leading discussions with government leaders, education agencies and establishments through to our exciting products and technologies.

Microsoft is committed to providing world class solutions to support the development of a world class education. FIRST LEGO League shares this vision and provides opportunities for young people to build life skills and participate in technology. We are pleased to support FLL and its community as it grows and becomes a bigger part of the way we educate and interact with our youth.

Established in 1978, Rapid supplies curriculum-based resources and learning materials to Primary and Secondary schools and colleges and universities of Further & Higher Education. In addition to Lego Education, Rapid’s extensive range encompasses products in literacy and maths, science, art, design & technology, PSHE, Citizenship, Motivation, Stationery and Exercise Books together with a wide range of electronic, electrical and maintenance products.

Rapid has now been involved in supporting the First Lego League for the last 3 years.  Whilst we fully appreciate the commercial benefits this has brought to our organisation, this is surpassed by the enjoyment attained by members of the Rapid Team when seeing the quality of the work produced by the students and their enthusiasm.   If we can find a way of harnessing this to bring forward into the commercial environment, British industry will take major steps forward.
